Tycoon Li Ka-shing Raises Hutchison Whampoa (OTC: HUWHY.PK) Stake To 52.28%
Tycoon Li Ka-shing, chairman of Hutchison Whampoa, has raised his stake in Hutchison Whampoa Ltd to 52.28% from 51.92%, according to disclosures filed to the Hong Kong stock exchange. Li spent about HK$900 million in 3 trading sessions right after results, accounting of 12% of total trading volume during period. He bought 15.3 million shares in the stock between Aug. 6 and Aug. 10 at an average price of HK$57.2 to HK$59.9 (ADR$38.56) each.
